We are Taking it Back to the Cross.
Back to the roots of America’s most historic Christian Music Festival, where a longing exists for deeper discipleship and to put Father, Son, and Holy Spirit at “Center Stage”. While we will strive to provide a high quality show, we want this event to be about so much more..
We want to share our love for Jesus with the world. We want people who attend to leave renewed and refreshed. Hopefully, we’ll be able to share the Gospel of Jesus with some folks who haven’t made a commitment to follow Him yet. With so much going on in the world, we need to gather, worship, pray and focus on the good that is all around us in all of God’s blessings and provision.
We pray that this will be a weekend filled with wonderful music, fun and blessings for all who attend. Our primary focus will always be to worship and honor God, our Father, His precious Son, Jesus, and Holy Spirit!
Beginning in 1970, following the historic Asbury Revivals, Ichthus became known as one of the nation’s longest running Christian music events. Taking its name from ichthys, the fish symbol used by early Christians, Ichthus carried out a mission to be an alternative to secular events like Woodstock and was designed to reach high school and college students.
In 2013 the Ichthus grounds at Wilmore were purchased by Joe and Cheryl Lycan, who renamed the property “Servant Heart Farm”. The couple is dedicated to bringing the Ichthus experience back home to the farm.
With new ownership and a new vision for ministry, through a partnership with a small group of volunteers and local contributors, Ichthus was relaunched in 2021.
We can’t wait for you to join us in 2024 at Servant Heart Farm (the “Ichthus Farm”) as we Take it Back to the Cross.
Please reach us at info@ichthusfest.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Ichthus Music Festival will take place on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28, 2024. Gates at 5:00 PM on Friday and 11:00 AM on Saturday with the last concert of the day to end around 9:30 PM on Friday & 10:30 PM on Saturday. Watch for complete schedule to be posted soon.
If you've attended Ichthus in the past, you will see some changes. First, the 2024 festival will consist of a worship night on Friday in addition to the main event on Saturday. Primitive camping is available that weekend for a nominal fee.
Ichthus is now under the guidance of Joe and Cheryl Lycan, Christians who bought the original 100+ acre farm in Wilmore, KY to preserve it for ministry purposes. The Lycans also acquired the Ichthus name and with the help of great group of volunteers and ministry partners, along with the Beacon Foundation, now produce the new Ichthus Music Festival. Ichthus Music Festival is a volunteer-run, Christ-centered ministry that uses music to share the love and hope of Jesus.
There are a lot of memories and nostalgia attached to Ichthus. The goal is to build Ichthus into a sustainable ministry as America’s premier Christian music festival.
Ichthus will be held at the Servant Heart Farm in Wilmore, KY, the same location the festival was held from 1999 to 2012!
